Tube shape.  For example, round, square, rectangular, elliptical, or oval,

Orientation of non-round tube bend, either hard-way (major axis in plane of bend) or easy-way (major axis perpendicular to the plane of bend).

Outside diameter or outside dimensions of tube.  If your request is for pipe, please tell us if you are specifying the true outside diameter or using the nominal IPS or EMT diameter.  Similarly, if your request is for copper tube, please tell us if you are specifying the true outside diameter or using the nominal K-type or L-type diameter.

Wall thickness.  If you are bending laminated tubing, we can specify the mandrel more accurately if you provide us with the thickness of each lamination.

Bend radius.  Please tell us if you are specifying the centerline radius (typical for round tubes) or the inside radius (typical of non-round tubes).

Degree of bend.  Unless a special consideration is involved, we recommend that you specify this as either a 90-degree bend or a 180-degree bend to maximize the utility of your rotary-draw tool set for other applications.

Tubing material.  For example, mild steel, stainless steel, titanium.  If your request is for either aluminum or copper tubing, please give us the exact material specification or in the alternative whether the material is hard or soft.  These two materials vary widely in hardness, and will change the tools we recommend if in the soft condition.

Make and model of your rotary-draw bending machine.  We have the mounting specifications for most machines on file.  If we don't have the information for your machine, we will send to you blank tool drawings so that you can fill in the basic dimensions for the mountings.

If you have not sent us a drawing and your request is for a multiple-bend tubular component, please inform us any mid-tangent restrictions on clamp length.  Similarly, advise us if the request is for "bent-leg" U, a serpentine bend, or other multi-bend configuration that will cause clearance problems with your machine.

Finally, please tell us if serrations (which improve the grip of short clamps, but the trade-off is marking of the outside surface of the tube) are acceptable or unacceptable.

If you need a replacement component for a mandrel you have purchased from us, please give us the part number of either the component or the mandrel assembly.

For a new mandrel assembly, please tell us the size and shape of the tube, bend orientation (if applicable), wall thickness, bend radius, and tubing material.  We will then quote to you the mandrel we recommend, its price, and its delivery.

Otherwise, you can specify the mandrel assembly you want by giving us the nose diameter, number of balls, mandrel material, mounting thread, body length, and style (inserted or solid).  With this information we will quote to you the price and delivery for a mandrel according to your specifications.

If you need a replacement component for an inserted wiper assembly or reconditioning of a solid wiper die you have purchased from us, please give us the part number of the component, the wiper assembly, or the solid wiper (as appropriate).

For a new wiper, please tell us the diameter of the tube, the centerline radius of the bend, and the tubing material.  Depending upon the tube diameter, we will normally specify a mounting pattern of either two 3/8"-16 holes on 1.5" centers or two 1/2"-13 holes on 1.5" centers.  If your machine requires a different pattern or metric mountings, be sure to tell us.  In most cases a non-standard pattern will not involve any additional charge.  With this information we will quote to you the wiper we recommend, its price, and its delivery.

Otherwise, you can specify the wiper you want by giving us the tube diameter, centerline radius, wiper material, mounting pattern, body length, and style (inserted or solid).  With this information we will quote to you the price and delivery for a wiper according to your specifications.

If you want us to recondition a solid wiper from another manufacturer, normally all we need to know to quote you a price and delivery is tube diameter, centerline radius, and wiper material.
